Bill Mavity is a distinguished leader in medical technology, with almost 40 years of experience in the industry. He has served as the chief executive for a subsidiary of a Fortune 50 company, two publicly traded companies (NASDAQ: InnerDyne Medical and Cohesion Technologies), and a half-dozen private companies over 29 years.

These companies were involved in developing technologies and products for various medical procedures, including cardiac surgery support, treatments for heart failure, advanced biomaterials to control bleeding during surgical procedures, biomaterials to improve outcomes in orthopedic surgery procedures, enhanced access devices for laparoscopic surgery, treatment of atrial fibrillation, neuromodulation to treat chronic pain, and the treatment of chronic sinusitis.

Mr. Mavity's extensive experience in the medical technology field also includes serving on the board of various companies focused on developing treatments for sleep apnea, peripheral vascular disease, and obesity.

Currently, Mr. Mavity is a member of the Boards of PercAssist and Fesarius Therapeutics, an advisor to Certus Critical Care, and a member of the Medical Advisory Council of FLEX Health Solutions. He has previously served as an independent Director of ReThink Medical, Hotspur Technologies, USGI Medical, Cardeon Corp., AMed Sytems, Aspire Medical, Fidus Medical Technologies, NeuColl, Inc., and the Michigan Technology Council. He also served on the Advisory Council for the College of Engineering at the University of Delaware for 12 years.
